This is one of many projects I always want to do, not only because it’s from my favorite legendary trio - Swedish House Mafia - but also I want to start animation career, and this is my first motion graphic ever. The project has been conceptualized and carried out for 4 months with the help of our lecturer.
In this project, we depict the beauty of this song, which is universal and open to different interpretations based on our life experiences. The main character is the son, who used to have a happy childhood with his dad. But as time went by, his dad passed away. The boy, now man, is reminiscing about the good times in the past. The nostalgia comes back when he found some old pictures with a letter from his dad. The father's voice goes through his head and tell him everything is going to be okay, reminds him of his optimism and that there's more to life.
As a school assignment, there are many many flaws in the clip like lack of overshoot or some animations are too “robotic”, but these are the stepping stones. Of course, as with any first-time project, there were some technical hiccups and learning curves along the way. But I'm proud to say that we overcame them as a team and emerged stronger and more inspired than ever before. This project has taught me so much about myself, my creative potential, and the incredible power of collaboration.
